Why 6 or More, and Never Fewer

Picture a table. A table built on four legs is functional, but the moment one leg weakens or fails, the entire structure becomes unstable. A table built on six points of support distributes weight more evenly and tolerates the loss of a single point of support far better.

The same principle applies to a full dental arch under constant biting force. Fewer implants means each one carries more load, and failure of a single implant has a greater impact on the entire restoration. Why First Dental Implant Center Does Not Use Fewer-Implant Systems

Who Is a Candidate for All-on-X?

All-on-X is designed for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth in an arch, or who have teeth that cannot be saved due to decay, periodontal disease, or trauma. It is also a common solution for patients currently wearing dentures who want a fixed, permanent alternative.

Candidacy depends primarily on the volume and quality of available jawbone. Patients with significant bone loss may still be candidates after bone grafting and ridge augmentation — a service Dr. Kass performs directly, without referral to an outside specialist.

Step 3 — Implant Placement
