Expertise
Periodontal Expertise in Support of Full-Arch Treatment
Many full-arch implant cases require periodontal evaluation or surgical preparation before implant placement can proceed — particularly when bone volume, gum tissue health, or sinus proximity are factors. Dr. Hilario's specialty training in bone grafting and ridge augmentation, sinus lifts, and osseous surgery directly supports this stage of treatment planning under Dr. Kass's direction, helping ensure each patient's surgical foundation is properly prepared before implants are placed.
This collaborative approach allows First Dental Implant Center to manage more of the surgical preparation process in-house, without unnecessary referrals to outside specialists.

Is Dr. Hilario the doctor I will see for my full-arch implant treatment?
Dr. Kass Nourishad leads full-arch and All-on-X treatment at First Dental Implant Center. Dr. Hilario, as Associate Doctor, supports surgical planning, 3D imaging analysis, and same-day delivery cases under Dr. Kass's direction, particularly where specialized periodontal expertise is needed.
What is a periodontist, and why does that matter for implant treatment?
A periodontist is a dental specialist focused on the structures that support teeth and implants — gums and bone. Periodontal expertise is directly relevant to implant treatment because the long-term success of an implant depends heavily on the health and volume of the surrounding bone and gum tissue.
Does Dr. Hilario perform bone grafting?
Yes. Dr. Hilario's specialty training includes bone grafting and ridge augmentation, sinus lifts, and osseous surgery, which support implant candidacy for patients who may have been told elsewhere that they do not have sufficient bone for implants.
